OXFORDSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM (June 15, 2023) – Tru Earth has made their first donation of 200,000 eco-laundry strips to Food Banks in the United Kingdom. (Retail value of £63,000) This number adds to the running total donated globally of 26,000,000 eco-strips.

In March 2020, during the covid-19 pandemic Tru Earth saw that grocery stores were having a hard time stocking cleaning supplies. If grocery stores didn't have laundry detergent, surely food banks didn't. Since this time, Tru Earth has been able to offer continuous support to over 880 partners across North America, Africa, South America and now, the addition of 10 new partners in the United Kingdom.

Auteur Limited, Tru Earth’s UK distribution partner, assisted with the in-country distribution of the Tru Earth eco-strips to the food banks. This was an integral part of the process as the product needed to travel safely overseas from Canada to the United Kingdom and into the hands of the donation partners.

“Thank you, Tru Earth, for your generous donation of detergent eco-strips. These have been an incredible addition to our emergency food parcels. Now, more than ever, our residents are struggling with impossible decisions when it comes to their finances and the addition of essential non-food items has helped relieve some of the pressures they are facing.”
Said Manchester South Central Food Bank.

Tru Earth will continue to expand the UK Donation program to reach more organizations over the next year. Below are some of the food banks from the Trussell Trust network that received a donation from Tru Earth.
